Jet Carrying Pete Hegseth Forced to Land in UK Due to Fracture in Windshield

A plane ferrying the US defense secretary was compelled to make an unplanned landing in the Britain on Wednesday following a fracture was identified in the aircraft's cockpit window, according to an official statement which stated that Hegseth was safe.

"The plane touched down following established safety measures and all passengers, among them Pete Hegseth, is safe," a press officer stated in a social media post.

Hegseth was returning from a brief trip to Brussels during the flight.

This incident is not the initial instance that a US military aircraft transporting a senior official has experienced technical problems.

In a previous incident this year, a United States Air Force aircraft carrying Secretary of State Marco Rubio to the city in Germany was compelled to head back to the US capital after experiencing a mechanical fault.
