An Extreme Reversal This dramatic increase in temperature follows closely after a powerful storm system that battered the area last week. That event brought thunderstorms, high winds, and heavy snow to mountainous regions, triggering flash flood warnings for countless residents. Sadly, the storm also caused a deadly avalanche in the Lake Tahoe area, which left nine people dead from. Forecast Ahead The outlook suggests some relief will arrive. Readings were forecast to drop to around sixty-one degrees Fahrenheit in downtown LA by Friday night. Several cities that experienced the 90-degree mark included Woodland Hills, Long Beach, and Burbank. Elsewhere, Westwood, Camarillo, Santa Maria, and Oxnard were projected to see the high 80s. Over Saturday and Sunday, downtown LA can anticipate readings in the eighties, with mid-70s temperatures likely for the following week.
