A Marquee Signing for the WSL Side The forward, with six months remaining on her contract, is known as a prolific goalscorer for both club and country. She has scored more than 100 goals for Bayern and found the net 54 times in 82 caps for Germany. Her arrival will be seen as a major coup for the Women’s Super League team. Her exit from Munich was expected after she appeared to be holding back emotions while thanking the club's supporters after a victory over Bayer Leverkusen recently. Reports in December that the German women's top flight was set to lose one of its leading forwards. Per reports, all the paperwork for the transfer are now finalised. Consistent Goal Threat to Boost United's Forward Line The 28-year-old’s arrival should represent a significant uplift to the team's attacking options. Schüller has been highly consistent with her finishing in Germany’s top flight. Over seven consecutive seasons, up to and including the most recent campaign, she reached at least a double-figures tally of league goals. She won the top scorer award in the 2021-22 season with a haul of 16 goals. Building Momentum at Old Trafford The acquisition of the German international comes at a time when the club appear to be gathering positive momentum. Their recent on-pitch successes feature qualifying for the European knockout phase playoffs in a seeded position and a victory in the Conti Cup quarter-finals. The new deal for Japanese midfielder Hinata Miyazawa, who has become fan favourite since joining in 2023.
